Just like a human bathtub, a dust bath to chickens is all about cleanliness. It’s not only chickens who like to hit the dirt – you may spot other birds such as sparrows and blackbirds taking a dust bath too. The dust or sand absorbs surplus moisture and oils on the skin. A dirt bath maintains the water resistance of the outer feathers of a chicken. It also deters parasites such as mites and lice by coating the insects’ breathing pores or simply driving them away. Dust bathing is an important part of keeping chickens healthy and clean. Once fully coated in dust or sand, the chicken will have a shake-down, just like a dog after a dip in a river. A quick preen of the feathers, and they’ll be all done and dusted. Literally. In addition to these physical benefits, dust-bathing is also thought to be mentally rewarding for hens. It helps them relax, and is a way of socialising too.

Can I place it wherever I want on the run?
Yes, the Easy Access Run Door can be placed on any run panel to make sure you get the most convenient access.
How do I attach it to my current coop run?
If you want to place the Easy Access Run Door in any position that isn’t right next to the coop simply remove the corresponding panels on the run and swap them for the Easy Access Run Door panels as per the instruction manual. If you want to place in the run panel that is closest to your coop, the procedure is slightly different depending on which coop you have:Eglu Pro Chicken Coop - Simply detach your run from your coop with the brackets and swap over the run panels where you want to place your Easy Access Run Door.Eglu Cube Chicken Coop - The run is fastened under the coop panels, you will need to disassemble the roof and one of the side panels of your coop to remove the current run panels and attach the Easy Access Run Door.
I have run handles, can I keep those?If you have an Eglu Pro that won't be a problem. However, on an Eglu Cube the Easy Access Run Door can’t be placed on an end panel with handles, as the handles will interfere with the opening. If you have handles on your Cube run we suggest placing the Easy Access Run Door on one of the panels closer to your coop.
Will adding an Easy Access Run door impact the strength of the run?No, the run will be just as strong and easy to move as with a normal run panel.

The Eglu Go comes with a drinker as standard. These drinkers clip securely on the run. Depending on the number of chickens in the flock it may be necessary to purchase additional drinkers. It is also worth holding spares for when it is extremely hot or cold.
Works well as a rabbit drinker for large breed rabbits like Standard Rex and Flemish Giants.

This fantastic wheelset makes moving your Eglu Go Chicken Coop quicker and easier than ever before! Whether you've decided to reposition your Eglu next to the geraniums or would simply like to work on the lawn, the wheelset ensures you can manoeuvre the Eglu Go around your garden with ease and precision. The wheels are easy to install onto your Eglu Go and are held in place by a clever bracket design that runs beneath the main housing. To move your Eglu Go simply use the levers on each side to engage the wheels and raise the house from the ground. Once you have moved the Eglu Go and are happy with the positioning use the levers again to return the house firmly to the ground.
