I was worried that this would be a a gimmick but it is very good. This chickens only took a day to find it and feed. The younger hens/chicks took to it before the older hens but all feeding within a few days. Sideways rain got in but I moved to more sheltered spot. Now dry. It is great. The setting up and instructions excellent. Easy to construct. Study plastic. One of the best features is that the sparrows are not getting in so no feed waste to wild birds. Highly recommend.

Purchase of replacement float valve was handled very efficiently. I was kept fully informed of courier arrangements and progress, and received the valve at a rural mailbox two days after placing the order. Very impressive and pleasant service, would certainly deal with Appletons again.

A lot of grit that's sold is in huge pieces, this product is in nice small pieces. I keep a small stainless steel aviary dish of it attached to the run and the chooks normally have a little each night before going inside the coop.
Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be working for our eggs… the eggs get stuck and I have to manually move them… not sure if it is a design issue or my eggs… but sad because I was really looking for this!
Hi Clem, Sorry to disappoint! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!!) eggs are not round like golf balls and will not roll easily down the Egg Skelter. Some will move, others need a helping hand depending on the angle, size can also impact on how they move. Hence the name Egg Skelter! The key feature is essentially about storing eggs in date order -which it does brilliantly! 😊

It has been a real asset to have the automatic door on the chicken houses. Especially for those long summer days, I know they will be let out early and locked in even if I am in bed myself. It was easy to set up and install and it is good to have all options for opening and shutting. We have chosen to have it timed as the light sensor was difficult to get exactly where you want it. The app is a bonus for checking on things and for changing the times as the year progresses. Very user friendly.

Easy for pigs to learn to use, withstands biting from inquisitive large sows, will be buying more to replace other types of waterers that they struggle with.

Used it once on my quails foot and the poor thing started pecking at it and getting attacked by the other quail. I guess the purple makes their toes look like worms. It doesn't wash off either so I had to separate her for a couple of days until the colour had faded.

Nettex Poultry Wound Spray is an antiseptic designed for easy application. It works quickly to kill bacteria, prevent infection, and promote healing. While the violet hue helps disguise the wound, any visible injury or change in appearance can still attract unwanted attention from the rest of the flock. We highly recommend isolating any injured bird while it heals. Keeping the bird separate for treatment prevents others from pecking at the injury and worsening the condition. Quail and pheasant are particularly inquisitive birds, but chickens can be equally so at times!

Ive had an old girl struggling with lice and scaley leg mites, and this has been the only thing thats worked. I dosed my girls 4 days ago and theyre already looking better.

100 % recommend this tunnel. Our Bunny pair love it. The slider to separate our 2 run areas is useful. We used the tunnel to extend our primary dog run into the meshed area under our trampoline effectively doubling our run space. Easy, sturdy. We have a 1 yr Flemish giant (still growing) but he fits easily.
I cant speak highly enough of Fiona and the Appletons team, i was also very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the gym and everything you need to put the items together (bar tools of course) was included. So impressed ordered another couple of items before installation was even finished. Very pleased, would buy again in a heart beat, thank you Appletons. even better the kittens just love it, its a drama to get them back inside now.
These egg cartons are great and exactly what we needed. Very sturdy. They arrived really quickly especially for rural delivery.
Set up my nest boxes tonight. A wee bit fiddly with the tiny screws and nuts but I got there. Chickens seen very interested once it was installed. Will need to get up early to put bases in the boxes so eggs don’t break when they are laid.

Great product! Easy to put together, connect the platform and tube system. We have connected the Zippi playpen via the tube system to our existing Omlet run to increase the space for our rabbit. He is loving the additional space.
The Old 12 yr old Omlete fence has now been replaced with a longer model. It's also not as high, however this hasn't been a problem. My orchard is very uneven and this type of fence works well.
