All of the bunnies love their huts! I’ll definitely be buying more. The only downside is that the shipping is a little expensive. Few photos of the two cuties I’m looking after using their huts.
Hi Adelaide, we're thrilled to hear the bunnies love their shelters! Thank you for sharing the photos and for your support. Please note that we offer combined shipping when you purchase multiples. Please check out our shipping tab for more info 😊
Our chooks where a little bit cheeky and prefer to put their heads through the fence and drink out of their water container. I moved that away and taught this group how to use the nipple drinker. I found it very easy just hold the chicken open their beak and put the piece that looks like a tongue in their mouth and push the beak against the nipple. Repeated two or three times and then put them down I only needed to do a couple and next thing they where back over at it using them. So I recommend keeping an eye on them and if they are not using them you may need to do the same.
We love our Eglu hutches. Great product, easy to clean. Keep out rabbits nice and cozy outside in winter.
The hens were a bit slow in learning how to use the feeder. One of them was crafty enuf to step sideways and crane her neck sideways to access the food. We think they are managing it now.
Very happy with this feeder . It’s good quality and the chooks don’t roost on it.
Easy to assemble and install.
This fence is great. It stopped our adventurous hens from getting to the back door and trashing the place. No more poop at the back door! They haven't been able to fly over or get under. Works well and is easy to set up.
Second time buying pullets from Appletons. Very happy with service and quality of chicks.
Very pleased with my new chook feeder. My hens can no longer flick out their feeder. YAY!! Very easy to set up straight out the box too which was great. Thanks Appletons! 🙂
This is my second porch the first proved its worth, so as the cat space expands it was a logical addion.
Used as an entrance added onto a spicy cats holding area, I attached the porch to a wooden chickencoop and the 2nd porch has been used for a double door entrance to a childs playhouse which is a kitten room. . I've had a rather spicy cat climbing up the porch walls an it held firm, provided it was put in place firmly. I was able to alter the roof top to cater to a shorter height. The only negative is that the depth is not large enough for my purpose, but I make it work.
Chooks like it, have noticed within a day or 2 the combs are bright red and very plump definitely has helped with overall health of chooks. Have purchased a couple of times now :) happy customer
I have bought other poultry water things that were cheaper - they did not last long, they got slimy and green, they drenched me on a regular basis as they were tricky to fill, they had a trough not individual feeders so the chickens scratched dirt and leaf litter into it all the time, and the plastic faded and became brittle quickly in NZ sun. We had this water thing for 3-4 months and it was perished. So I bit the bullet and bought the more expensive Omlet one. No regrets - it is beautifully made, solid, easy to assemble, it works very well and does not get as dirty, the water stays clean and the hens love it. The individual cups mean that everyone gets a chance to drink without bullying so my hens are very happy. It matches my poultry feeder from Omlet so my coop run looks pretty fancy right now! It meant I could take out all the broken, not very good random cheap odds and sods that were crowding the run and just have these two things in there. Things that work. And look good. :)
Large sized wheel. Silent while in use. I got it for my mice and they are able to use it no worries despite the large size. Easy to clean as well. Would recommend.
These work really well for showing our chooks where to lay. Unfortunately they also fooled the stoats, which stole them, but now that they’ve been caught I’ve bought some more! :)
We have a new budgie in the house and wanted a lovely cage for it to feel free but also that looked pretty in the home.
The Geo cage is all of these things and more. It’s easy on the eye, easy to clean and easily impresses our budgie. He seems happy, with plenty of space and room to explore. Seeing him flit and fly between the two swing perches has been a delight to watch.
Appletons is an excellent company to purchase from. Delivery is FAST and communication regarding your purchase and tracking is brilliant.
We’ll be purchasing more accessories for the Geo cage soon.
Thanks Appletons! Superb.
Really delivered on its promise to keep wild birds out. Easy to use and working well.
Works as advertised, Good for oversized free range eggs and much better than the plastic temu ones.
I bought this as a deterrent to use on our smallest hen who gets pecked at above the tail at times. I’ve used multiple times but I haven’t noticed a change. I won’t be buying again.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the anti-feather pecking spray.
Feather pecking is a complex issue that often requires addressing the behavior all the individuals in the flock. To help you work out why this may be happening and how to manage it, I recommend reading our blog post on feather pecking:https://chooks.co.nz/pages/fact-sheet-chicken-health-feather-pecking
Using a spray is most effective when combined with an understanding of the underlying causes and preventative measures. Unfortunately, once feather pecking becomes a habit, it can be difficult to break.
We hope the information in our blog provides some helpful guidance.
This coop is wonderful, so easy to clean. My chickens love it and it seems so cozy for them. Only thing is I thought it would be a tad bigger .
Only have three chickens so good for me. I would like to source locally as postage makes it costly.
