Charlene's Ramp

Charlene is a much put-upon little bantam who has a long-term injured leg. Her new ramp was difficult for her to get up. One, it was too steep. Two, the gaps between the cross-pieces was too long for her. She kept slipping, thereby re-hurting her leg.

The solution - I turned the ramp upside down so the slope was much gentler, although it doesn't reach to the door she seems to be able to manage the top two steps. I had to drill some new holes for more cable ties. Secondly, her kind Uncle Quinten put some more cross-pieces on for her so that her little legs could manage the slope without slipping. From being frightened of the ramp, she now seems more confident and hopefully her leg will get a chance to heal.

Love it

We are very happy with our large omlet run. It took 2 of us half a day to assemble the large size. Looks great. Lots of room for our ducks when we head out and our bunnies love some time in there too.

Wonderful

Finally found a waterer that my goats don't take the lid off and drink all the water,😆😆, great solid waterer too

Omlet Opening Door

I love the versatility of this door, and wanted a sideways opening option due to safety for the coop. Well made, like the fact that we can attach the coop light to the device, easy simple, good control panel !

Easy

It was a piece of cake- easy
The website is good , the communication was easy ,,payment was easy, the pullets are very quiet and healthy - Thank you😄

Chicken tree

It looks good but our older Sussex and young Orpington aren’t risking it yet. Hopefully they will eventually or it will be ready for new youngsters when we get them.

Great item

the hens love this product, they learnt to drink out of it quickly, its easy to fill, easy to clean.

Zippi run clips. A great way to hold the Eglu coated wire frames together.

Easy to open when my fingers are cold.

Feed-o-matic

The chickens took to the feeder like ducks to water, happily feeding under 3 days. Also purchased a rat guard but couldn't find instructions on how/where to install.

Thanks for your feedback ☺️ Delighted to hear your hens have got the hang of the feed-o-matic. The instructions for the rat guard can be found on our website under Rat Guard for Feed-o-matic Treadle Feeder

Exactly What You're Looking For

We'd spent many evenings with a flashlight in hand looking for our adventurous free ranging hens who hadnt returned to bed. We knew we needed some sort of fencing that still allowed them generous space and came across the Omlet Chicken Fencing.

Great quality materials, adjustable to fit any kind of layout ( part of ours is on a bank and we havent had any issues), its exactly what we needed. Thanks Appletons!

well made but our chickens don't use it

'well constructed and easy to put together. Our chickens cannot work it out, even after shaking it for them to see the seeds falling out. Epic fail in our coop.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback. Sometimes, it can take some time for chickens to get used to the interactions of a peck & release device. It can also happen that your chickens are simply not big fans of the peck toy. In that case, you might want to try a different method, such as dismantling the toy and then leaving it on the ground, with the treats inside, to see if chickens show interest that way. My recommendation would be to preserve, and they may, in time, explore it and learn the joy of peck and release treats 😊

great prodict if you don't mind the witholding period

arrived quickly and good solution to mip lice in the bud if you have a mid sized, free range flock where tree roosting makes use of powders and dusts tricky.

Everything Needed

My absolute go to. After much research into various brands etc. Weston came up trumps in all areas of nutrition, ingredients and wellbeing outcomes even though I have to order it online and ship it from the South Island to the North Island. Having raised 16 chicks from different breeds, clutched, and in different methods. I have never lost any, had any health issues or development issues.

I also use their Chook Grow and Free-range Layer Pellets.

Mite powder

My chooks love this in their dust bath

Solo operator success

Easy to construct and secure. Much easier than constructing your own and not much more expensive. Highly recommend.

This stuff is doing the trick, my chickens are starting to look way better

Good quality & perfect fit

It is easy to put on & the bunnies don’t seem interested in chewing it, which is absolutely an added bonus. It seems perfect for its intended use so far.
