Omlet Zippi Tunnel System for Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
Connect your pets' hutch to an exercise run with Zippi's modular above-ground burrow tubes. Rabbits and guinea pigs can travel between connected areas, while you can keep the hutch conveniently positioned and arrange their exercise space elsewhere in the garden.
Start with a hutch-to-run kit, then expand the route with compatible tunnel sections, corners and junctions as your layout changes. Hutches, runs and playpens are purchased separately.

Select the kit that suits your route. Extra tunnels, supports, lock-out doors and other accessories are not automatically included with every kit. Contact Appletons if you need help confirming the components required for your particular hutch and run.
Modular tunnels that adapt to your garden
Standard tunnel section: 90cm long with an internal diameter of approximately 18cm.
Flexible burrow pipes: allow gentle bends; use compatible corner pieces for sharper changes in direction rather than forcing the pipe.
Locking connectors: allow sections to be joined and released, with locking screws available to further secure the connections.
Ventilation and drainage holes: run along the tunnel sections.
Expandable layout: add compatible sections and accessories later to connect additional areas.
Connecting to a hutch or run
The Zippi system can connect to suitable wooden hutches and mesh runs, including the Eglu Go rabbit hutch run, Zippi enclosures and Omlet Outdoor Runs. Connection frames must be fitted according to the instructions; fitting may require an opening to be cut in the wood or mesh, with exposed edges covered using the appropriate finishing pieces.
Check the proposed route, connection surface and required fittings before installation. A tunnel is a connecting passage, not a substitute for adequate living and exercise space.
Suitability and safe use
Zippi tunnels are designed for rabbits and guinea pigs, not chickens, cats or other pets. Check that each animal can pass through comfortably, particularly very large rabbits. Introduce pets gradually and ensure they can reach suitable shelter, food and water.
The pipes are chew-resistant, not completely chew-proof. Inspect tunnels, bends, connectors and attachment points regularly, and remove damaged components from use. Assess local predator risks and secure the whole connected setup; tunnel connections do not make an unsuitable run safe.
Where a lock-out door is fitted, use it to keep pets safely in their hutch or run while you clean or rearrange the system. Never shut an animal inside a tunnel. Omlet recommends closing off tunnel access at night so rabbits remain in their secure hutch accommodation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Move pets into secure accommodation before releasing connectors or detaching sections. Wash the tunnels with water and a suitable pet-safe disinfectant, following the cleaning product's directions. Check that ventilation and drainage holes are clear, then reconnect and check every fastening before reopening access.
