When entering your address at checkout please use the NON RD version of your address
The address fields need to be populated accurately so the shipping software understands your address and can give you the correct rate.
Many of us have addresses that include RD numbers.
These RD numbers are not understood by the shipping software.
NZ POST offer two versions of your address especially if you have an RD number.
Please only use the NON RD version.
If the RD version is used on some occasions it will not add the rural delivery fee and we will need to get in touch with you with an updated invoice to cover this rural fee.

Delivery is available on working week days only - Monday to Friday.
There are no deliveries on weekends and public holidays.
South Island residential & business addresses are usually next day delivery but can take a day or two longer.
Please allow 3 to 4 working days before to contacting us.
North Island residential & business addresses are sent on the Poste Haste standard inter island two-day delivery ticket but can take a day or two longer depending on freight volumes.
Please allow 4 to 5 working days before to making contact with us.
Rural addresses will add an extra 24 to 48 hours onto of the above delivery time frames.
Post Haste and their Contractors do their best to deliver within the allocated time frames. We do not offer refunds on shipping if your parcel is not delivery within your expected delivery time frame. Unfortunately delays due to weather events and natural disasters are out of everyone's control and we cannot plan and compensate for these.
Courier prices are based on all mainland addresses for both North and South Islands.
If your address is on Waiheke Island, Chatham Islands, Great Barrier or Stewart Island we will notify you of the total additional charge/s when we receive and process your order.
Waiheke Island : The additional cost is $36 per parcel. This price is the carton rate Post Haste get charged by a third party agent. The third party agent ships it and deliver it around the island.
Great Barrier : The additional charge is $44 per parcel. A good alternative is to get your order sent to a family or friend's address in Auckland or maybe if you work in Auckland during the week to your work address?
Chatham Islands : An additional charge of $25 plus $5.00 per 1kg thereafter will be added on receipt of order.
Stewart Island : An additional manual charge of $9.50 per parcel will be applied on receipt of your order.

Post Haste Couriers is our preferred national courier for all smaller items. We find them reliable and they offer us a good, trackable service.
Sending to a business address works out the best value. Residential deliveries require a residential ticket so the cost is a little more than business. If your address is rural then a rural ticket is required. This rural ticket adds more to the cost of delivery as the parcel needs to be handed over to the rural delivery driver. So, in a nutshell, to save on delivery get your order sent to a town or business delivery address if you wish to save $$$!
We cannot deliver to a P O BOX. It must be a physical address.
If your address is outside the Nelson and Tasman Bays area our checkout will not offer you the click and collect option. If you wish to pick up and your address is outside this area send us an email and we can send you an order to confirm or give us a call and we can take your order over the phone.
Post Haste delivers Monday to Friday and should there be no-one at home the driver will leave a card or attempt a re-delivery. If you request a non-signature delivery or 'leave at door' or 'on back porch' or similar we cannot be responsible for these goods if you return home and they are no longer there. So please note if you request this option it is at your risk.
Overnight Deliveries to the North Island
Due to the ongoing interruptions and delays caused by Covid it is now impossible to guarantee overnight delivery. We have removed this delivery option from our checkout. We will continue to do our very best to ensure your parcel gets to you as quickly as possible 😊 We wish to thank our customers for your ongoing support and understanding.
Your address may appear slightly different on your parcel address label than the one you popped in when ordering. This is because the Shipping Address API we use has access to the NZ CoreLogic Address Data. CoreLogic Address Data is trusted by the NZ Emergency Services for being the most accurate and up to date physical address data in NZ. CoreLogic addresses are not estimated, they are verified and accurately geocoded. Please note if you have an RD address you will see NZ POST now has two versions of your address - please use the non-RD version.
API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. Each time you use an app like Facebook, send an instant message, or check the weather on your phone, you're using an API.
We will check your shipping rate is correct for your address. This is usually done on receipt of order but can also be done when your order is being processed to be shipped. If the address fields have been completed incorrectly this can give an incorrect shipping rate. We will notify you via email if their are addition courier fees to pay. If the Shipping API is down or their is an outage this can also result in incorrect shipping being calculated. We have the right to notify you of the correct rate and amend the shipping on your order.
We will also part refund should we manage to combine shipping and save you, our valued customer, some $$$. In the case where our API has overcharged due to a shipping malfunction we are more than happy to refund the difference.
We do our very best each time we fulfil an order to use recycled packaging paper, strapping and recycled cardboard cartons. Thank you to the local Richmond companies that give us the opportunity to give their unwanted boxes and used packing paper a second life! It is getting harder these days as most supermarkets now crush all their boxes.
We are using paper bags where we can.
Please note we still need to send out our liquids in plastic bags. If you prefer not to have yours in a plastic bag let us know. We use a simple twist tie so you can re-use the bag.
All our 25kg bags of Westons are sent out in large heavy-duty plastic bags 😊 Please re-cycle these where you can ♻️
Our courier calls after lunch - Monday to Friday to collect our fulfilled orders. For orders received prior to 10.00 am a we will do our very best to dispatch same day. Any order received after 10 am will most likely be dispatched the following day. We do our very best to fulfil orders as quickly as we can.
We would love to be able to offer cheap shipping like some of the larger online companies but we are not a large corporation and can't afford to subsidize shipping. We are a family owned business and do our very best to keep our pricing low especially with all the recent price hikes and crazy importing costs post covid. All our shipping costs are worked out on volume and not on weight so the bigger the item the more it costs to ship. We cannot send liquids in satchels and leg rings in envelopes. Delivering to a rural delivery address will add more to the cost so more economical to get your order sent to a business address (maybe you work in town?) or have a friend or parent that lives in town that has an address that is classified residential.
Please check your consignment carefully on delivery. Notify us immediately of any issues or any item/s are missing from your consignment. Please call us or email email@example.com and let us know with 48 hours if there is damage so we can work to get a replacement part out to you. We have 7 days to lodge a claim with the courier and replace any missing or damaged panels. If we are not notified within 7 days unfortunately we cannot resolve any damage or loss incurred and this will be at your cost.
Products on pre-order will be shipped once we receive them back in stock. The additional freight or courier will be at your cost. We can either hold your entire order and send all together OR if you prefer to have some items sent ahead then best to order the pre-order product separately in another order.
All Larger Items We Freight
We use Mainfreight to transport and deliver all our larger items: hen houses, timber animal housing, Eglu chicken coops and rabbit hutches, Omlet outdoor pet runs and catios, Dog Fido Studios & Nooks.
We deliver nationwide either to your DOOR or to the nearest Mainfreight DEPOT for collection. All our timber poultry and animal housing is built to pre-assembled kitset specifications for more cost effective freighting.
Please ensure if selecting delivery to door that trucks have the necessary access. One truck driver is allocated per truck and it is appreciated if the customer can assist with hand unloading if no loading facilities are available. We do not cover the cost of hi-ab deliveries. Otherwise please select depot collection. If an alternative delivery option needs to be arranged please be understanding and work with our carrier to achieve the best solution.
Mainfreight do their very best to deliver your consignment as soon as possible.
Deliveries to Wellington, Blenheim and Christchurch Depots are usually next working day but can take an extra day or so if freight volumes are high.
Deliveries to all North Island Depots north of Wellington including Oamaru, Cromwell, Timaru, Gore, Dunedin and Invercargill usually take two to three working days.
If your address is rural then your consignment is sent out on a zone truck which can add a day or two onto delivery times. Please note zone trucks do not deliver every week day to every rural area as it is not cost effective.
Please be realistic when considering delivery time frames especially over peak times when volumes of freight increases ie: Christmas and when staffing levels are low due to covid. Inclement weather also affects freight and will delay deliveries.
Once your order is ready to dispatch on Mainfreight we will notify you via email that it is on its way and let you know the Mainfreight Consignment Number. We also add your email contact to the Mainfreight tracking system so that you, as the customer, receive regular email alerts as to the status of your consignment:

Once your consignment has reach the delivery depot that Depot should give you a call to let you know it is either at the depot for collection or out for delivery.
Please check your consignment carefully on delivery or collection from the depot.
Notify us immediately of any issues if your timber housing is damaged or items missing from your consignment. On your consignment note will be written the number of items. Please check carefully you have received them all and sign the delivery note.
Mark clearly on the delivery docket the damage/loss and notify Mainfreight immediately (especially if not noted on the delivery docket.)
Please document the damage/loss by taking take photographs prior to removing the shrink-wrap from the consignment. Also take photos showing damage once panels have been unpacked.
Please call us or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know with 48 hours if there is damage so we can work to get a replacement part out to you.
We have 7 days to lodge a claim with Mainfreight and replace any damaged panels.
If we are not notified within 7 days unfortunately we cannot resolve any damage or loss incurred and this will be at your cost.
For deliveries made to a third party address (intermediate receiver) we take no responsibility for any damage or loss NOT noted on the delivery note by your third party receiver at the time and date of the delivery.

Only available on our non-courier orders. If you prefer to arrange your own carrier to collect from our yard please let us know. We have loading facilities (a forklift) so can assist with loading onto a truck. There is a small charge to flat-pack your order on a pallet and shrink-wrap for transit. $46 incl. Please remember to talk with your carrier about arranging transit insurance. We do not cover any damage once your consignment leaves our yard.
Our website generates a shipping price based on the address format entered at checkout or supplied to us for all large consignments. These are done in good faith based on the fact that your address is a standard delivery address and does not have any special conditions attached to it. ie: very rural, difficult access etc.
We have the right to reassess your rate should it require special ks or additional charges due to its location. Please be aware that additional kilometre rates, hiab and van charges can be charged in addition once your consignment reaches the delivery depot. If you prefer not to pay these charges you are most welcome to collect from the depot.
Mainfreight Disrution Surcharge on Larger Orders
Thank you to those customers who have shown patience in the wake of the significant weather events over the last couple of months. The impact of Cyclone Gabrielle has resulted in closures on key State Highway routes from slips and washouts, and in many cases full sections of roads becoming unpassable. Continued wet weather has delayed reinstatement of affected roads or caused further damage to roading infrastructure.
Impacted State Highway connections to Northland, Gisborne/Tairawhiti, Hawke’s Bay, and parts of the Coromandel have necessitated the use of alternate routes, incurring additional time and distance in order to maintain freight services into these areas.

In relation to SH5 (Napier – Taupo), Waka Kotahi has announced the introduction of convoys on a restricted basis. These will operate Tuesday to Friday with limited timings. While it is pleasing to see the facilitation of convoys on this route, the scheduled times sit outside our normal transit windows, and for the majority of our movements, we must continue to run via SH1 and SH2. As a result of these roading disruptions, and with no clear indication of when these critical roading connections will reopen, we have little option other than to introduce a disruption surcharge to recognise the additional costs that have already been incurred. As of Monday 20 March 2023, the following surcharges by respective corridor will be applied to all Mainfreight deliveries. We will notify you if your order will incue this surcharge. These surcharges will also apply to all orders made prior to 20th March but sent after 20th March 2023. Thank you.
In this new Post COVID Era where we can have to wait in anticipation for shipments to arrive we are pleased to be able to offer OMLET products on PRE-ORDER. Please note if your order includes a PRE-ORDER Eglu Coop, Eglu Hutch or Omlet Outdoor Pet Run that requires shipping with our carrier all items on this order will be shipped together. Shipping is calculated on sending everything out on one pallet as one consignment. We are happy to re-assess shipping costs if you would like smaller items sent earlier.
