The roll out laying nest is supplied with a soft nest pad which is made of antibacterial polyethene.
The softness of the nest pad ensures a comfortable area for the hens to lay. As required, the pad simply lifts out to be washed, dried and returned to the nest for tomorrow's eggs - thus keeping the nest clean, tidy and hygienic, giving your hens the ultimate comfort and with absolutely no hay, straw or shavings to bother with will reduce time spent cleaning your coop.
You will be collecting clean fresh eggs every day, no more soiled eggs to wash, especially during the wetter months.
The nest pad slopes down towards the collecting tray. The sloping floor can be set at three different angles where the eggs will naturally roll into the collecting tray where up to 12 eggs will be held at once.
The lid of the collecting tray hinges and gives you easy access to the eggs. The curtain on the laying nest ensures the hens can lay eggs in a dark and sheltered area, giving your hen the privacy some coops lack, which can cause hens to seek other places to lay.
The sloping roof of the Nest-o-Matic prevents the poultry from sitting on the laying box thus keeping it tidy.

The Nest-o-Matic is made of durable material. The plastic parts are made of UV resistant and high-quality ABS and the body is galvanised sheet metal with a minimum of 1 mm thick. The tray base and lid are made of tough, long-lasting ABS plastic.

Add another chook access door.
The Run Door Self Fit Kit lets you add an extra access door to your Eglu run or Walk in Run. Simply cut out a section of your run mesh, cover the edges with the supplied edge protectors and clip the door in place. (You will need some good quality pliers to cut the hole in your run panel.) If your pets move their toys to awkward parts of the run or occasionally lay an egg just out of reach, the Self Fit Door Kit is just the thing for you!
Note: The door opens inwards not outwards, so remember to take that into account when deciding on the location of your new door. If you are using it on an Eglu Go run or an Eglu Cube run, the angle of the Run panels will mean you need to mount it slightly higher to avoid it colliding with the ground when you open it.

An easy answer for keeping the top clean!
Heating plates can get very dirty from chicks jumping on top of them. The heat plate cover is sold in a pack of 3 and are washable and re-usable. Made of transparent plastic (PET). After each use, the cover can be cleaned by rinsing it with warm water to remove the dirt and dust. The cover is suitable for the new Safety 600 & 1200 heating plate models (models from 2019 onwards).

Very effective organic treatment for poultry scaly leg mite.
This treatment is totally organic. A mixture of Cottonseed Oil and Eucalyptus.
Instructions.Spray oil on legs, avoiding the feathers. Saturate the affected areas. "Poultry Leg Spray" works by suffocation.
Gently massage the legs, ensuring all areas are covered.
Repeat every 3-4 days for 2 to 3 weeks.
Do not pick off the scale debris, as it can cause bleeding. The chickens will help by pecking the debris off the leg themselves. In cases where a chicken's scales are lost, they will not regrow.
Even if your other chickens do not have signs of Scaly Leg Mites, it is recommended that you treat them as well so that these Scaly Leg Mites do not establish themselves in your flock. It is contagious.
Check their legs regularly throughout the year.
There is no egg-withholding period.
Cleanliness and sanitary measures around the chicken coop are in order because the mites can live for long periods in cracks and crevices without feed and water.
Please store the bottle at room temperature and best used when the contents is warm. If it is too cold, the liquid will not move through the sprayer.
Do Your Chickens Have Scaly Leg Mite?Scaly legs on chickens are caused by a parasitic mite (Knemidocoptes mutans) that burrow under the scales on the chicken's legs. The damaged tissue weeps, which is what these mites feed on.
Signs and Symptoms.
Raised scales on the legs.
Crusty legs.
Lameness (severe cases).
Can also be found on the comb and wattles.
In the early stages of the infection, the chicken will have mild irritation. It takes several months of infection before the scales on the legs start to lift.
Repeat application is recommended. You should treat all of your birds even if only one bird has scaly legs, as scaly leg mite is very contagious and it is highly likely that all of your birds will have the mite.Scaly foot is a bird ailment that is common among caged birds and also affects many other bird species. It is caused by mites in the genus Knemidocoptes which burrow into the bird's flesh. The tunnels made by the mites within the skin cause dermatitis and scaly lesions. Scaly face is caused by the same mite responsible for scaly foot and other related mites cause depluming. The condition is transmitted from one bird to another by direct prolonged contact.

This premium mixture is made to a specific formulation of protein, carbohydrate and fat with added vitamins and minerals for laying hens. A free-flowing grain and pellet mix that keeps hens in top laying condition.
Ingredients: Barley, canary seeds, wheat, oats, kibbled maize, kibbled green peas, poultry pellets (soya bean meal, peas, wheat by-products (Broll) and vegetable oil), sunflower seeds, grit. Analysis: Protein 16%, Fibre 4.0%, Fat 2.9%
Please note we do not recommend feeding this out to your poultry as their sole diet. It is recommended only as a treat feed. Feed out to your hens by the handful when you go to check on them daily preferably in the late afternoon.
