Avimec is a topical 'drop-on' liquid for the treatment of Scaly Face Mite (Knemidokoptes pilae) in budgerigars. This Solution is also safe to use to treat chickens for the treatment of biting insects, including Red Mites and fleas.
Active constituent: 1000ug / mL lvermectin.

Key features: Safe and highly effective. Easy administration; the bottle includes a drop delivery system. Safe to use in conjunction with food additives and supplements and with oral medications.

Directions:

  • For external use only.
  • Dosage and administration: Birds less than 30g body weight: apply 1 drop. Birds between 30- 60g body weight: apply 2 drops.
  • Repeat application weekly for three doses.
  • Place drops on an unfeathered area of skin, on the thigh or under the wing – DO
  • NOT apply directly to the affected area as this may irritate.
  • Best applied using a syringe or dropper.
  • Treat all birds in the aviary. Full recovery may take up to 6 weeks.

          Great stuff!

          Really impressed with this product. Our bird felt much better after second dose and is fully recovered in no time!

          Bought this product as my hens have lost a lot of feathers which don’t seem to be coming back over past three months. Hen house has been sprayed for mites after cleaning out. Put about 5 drops on per hen but so far after two weekly doses can’t see any difference.
