Raising chicks under a heat lamp provides a natural, radiating warmth. This is a more natural way to raise chicks as the chicks will get a good night's sleep and a rested gut rather than feeding and being active 24/7.
We have been raising chicks for 20 years using this type of heat source and find it to be a very good option, as the chicks only have to pass under the reflector to feel the warmth.
This set includes the ceramic holder and the reflector — NO EMITTER (bulb). We recommend either a 60W, 75W or 100W ceramic emitter for this size reflector. Suitable for raising up to 24 day-old chicks.
