Very happy with the water feeder, easily installed and can be placed anywhere

Love it. Works perfectly first time and makes watering so easy.

Initially the ballcock couldn’t turn off as the stainless flap was fixed between two slots in the bottom of the feeder and caused an obstruction. Once I undid it and allowed it to free float its enabled the ballcock to do its job and cut off when its about half full. Beware that this unit if connected with a normal garden hose to a pump water system is likely to not allow your pump to turn off. it needs to be connected properly using alkathene pipe. I’ve actually hooked mine up to a large drum beside the coop which fills from the roof of the coop and is working well.

We have purchased 5 automatic drinker over the years. 2 for the chickens, one for the dog & cat and recently another 2 for another area we’ve put chickens. We’ve had no problems with any. We’ve also purchased 3 step on feeders, they’re great, you do need to maintain them with CRC on the bolts, this is fine as all products need maintenance. Also just purchased the Apex kit set henhouse. Super easy to put together, took us 40 minutes.

Good quality and good price. My chickens, ducks and ducklings are loving it. The ducks make it a muddy mess in 1 day but it is really simple to tip out, give a quick scrub, and let it refill itself.

Great little trough, just connect and ready to go. Happy little hens in this summer sun always having a good clean supply of water.

We ordered our automatic drinker online and it arrived within 72hrs - amazing as it came from the South Island to our remote Coromandel home! The drinker is excellent, was easily installed and is working well. Highly recommended!

Easy to use website and you know what you’re getting.

Postage is quite expensive, would be happy to wait a few more days to get a reduced price, almost put me off buying, but can’t beat convenience.

The five litre drinker is good but I had to do some work with my own tools to get the bowl to sit flush against the back wall of the surround, the cutout didn’t line up with the bolt. Also if the hose fitting provided had some plumbers tape on it to stop leaks it would help.

I contacted Appleton’s and they explained it was a manufacturing error and rectified the situation.

If there are any issues they seem to be happy to help sort them out.
