This heavy-duty drinker holds just a little less than a whopping 20 litres of water - 19.8L to be exact! (this drinker is not an auto drinker but listed here as holds a decent amount of water) Ideal for using in your chook run or bird area - we have a few strategically placed around and the chooks, ducks, pheasant, peacocks and guinea fowl all use them. We just fill and leave and the chooks soon learn where the water source is. We rate this as our best drinker.
Dimensions: 34cm x 32cm by 32cm. NZ made of polyethylene with stainless steel wire handle. Rotationally moulded and hand-tooled. Does not have a machine finish.
How to Fill 💧💧💧
1. Tip drinker onto its back.
2. Best to use a garden hose and push it into the opening and fill up until water overflows.
3. Pull out hose and sit drinker back on its square base using the handle.
4. Water should be visible in the trough all ready for chooks to enjoy a drink.
Awesome concept and perfect for my 3 ladies..highly recommend this product
Finally I went ahead and purchased an Appletons Easy Care Drinker. You see twice, I’d used one of those bell looking drinkers that became brittle after less than a year and cracked and ended up in land fill. Then I was using a small white water trough that I had in the shed , after much scrubbing and changing of water and lugging full buckets to the chook run (pretty much everyday as the local Pukeko’s used it for bath time) I’d had enough. Should have got one ages ago! I haven’t had to change the water all week and even the pesky Pukeko’s can’t squeeze in that gap!
I’m a very happy customer, Thank you!
Great product and easy to set up. Chickens took to it straight away and mostly keeps water cleaner as I placed it on a box in the coop. Very heavy when filled so tricky to get back upright as have to tip up to fill. Saves having to replace and fill up water every day as in other drinkers. Recommend!
Very Happy with Drinker and the hens seem pretty chuffed with it to
Brilliant. The chooks have transferred and adapted to it very well, and we can fill and leave it for a few days knowing they won't dehydrate. In the Hawke's Bay that's important to have. It's durability and STABILITY are also major benefits. Thank you.
